Kirton Farm Nurseries produce top quality perennials and herb plants. This year we celebrated our 25th year in business!

Our plants are ideally suited for Garden Centre sales and are presented in custom designed, eco friendly, returnable wooden marketing trays. All plants are fully labelled and an exclusive, matching pictorial backing board is supplied free with every variety ordered.

After 25 years of producing plants in 9cm plastic pots we have now taken the decision to commit our garden centre production wholly to our more eco-friendly production processes and products with a view to satisfying the growing demands of a more eco sensitive buying public. We now only produce our perennials and herbs in 1 litre Hairy coir fibre pots.

We continue to develop our eco-friendly approach to make the best of the plants and the most of the current drive towards a more environmentally aware consumer. One of last year’s innovations was our new in-house printed wooden pot labels for pricing, barcodes and herb descriptive labels. This year we have introduced a new returnable and reusable wooden presentation tray with a new header board. They are strong, long lasting and compliment the hairy coir pots beautifully.

In our on-site micropropagation laboratory we grow a range of over 100 varieties and produce 600,000 plantlets a year. We can take advanced orders for the catalogue range of micropropagated young plants or customers can order from an availability list. We are able to develop and produce micropropagated crops on a contract basis, please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

Kirton Farm is home to The Hairy Pot Plant Company our internet based retail site for our fabulously hairy cottage garden plants and herbs.
