Herbaceous Perennials, Herbs and Micropropagated Modules

Kirton Farm Nurseries produce top quality 1 litre herbaceous plants and herbs and a range of micropropagated modules.

The 1 litre plants are ideally suited for Garden Centre sales, presented in returnable and reusable wooden presentation tray with a pictorial header board.

The boxes are strong, long lasting and compliment the hairy coir pots beautifully. The header boards can be customized with your logo, pot prices or any other information. The trays hold 12 or our generously proportioned 14cm diameter hairy coir pots.

To encourage the return of these very attractive boxes, there is a charge of £3 per tray for any wooden trays not returned by the end of the season. All plants are fully labeled. We use our in-house printed wooden pot labels for pricing, barcodes and herb descriptive labels. The herbaceous plants still come with a colour picture label.

All plants are produced under the protection of net-sided tunnels and are therefore in prime condition, yet fully hardy at despatch. We are now using a peat reduced compost, specially blended and incorporating slow release fertiliser for long term plant nutrition.

At Kirton Farm Nurseries we are commited to balancing ethical, environmental and commercial interests. As part of this approach we recycle and use recyclable products wherever possible, minimize water use through our use of sub irrigated sand beds and are founder members of SCION an organisation which ethically sources and trains legal immigrant workers.

Ordering & Delivery

Our ordering and delivery system remains as easy to use and as efficient as ever. An extensive availability list can be faxed to you over the weekend or on a Monday morning which means ordering is quick and simple. All orders received by Tuesday are delivered by the weekend. Regular deliveries ensure that your herbaceous displays can be well stocked with attractive plants all season.

Orders over 24 trays are delivered free within a 50 mile radius of Winchester and charges are negotiable for smaller orders or longer distances.

We can put together our own selection of high quality plants to meet your individual requirements. This means that you can easily stock your sales area with lines that are immediately saleable. Subsequent deliveries can be tailored to prevent overstocking of particular lines.

Cash & Carry

Customers who only require small quantities of plants are welcome to come and pick out their own selection to a minimum value of £50 excluding VAT. Plants selected in this way will be charged at the under 1000 pot rate and payment will be required.

Micropropagated modules

We specialise in propagating over 100 varieties in our Hampshire laboratory and produce over 600,000 plants a year.
